Give Your Mac An Interface Lift

If you are looking for a great place to find the best wallpaper, icons, themes, etc for your mac look no further. Interfacelift offers some of the best hi-res wallpapers out there. While I don't recommend using the themes in leopard the icons and wallpapers are amazing. If you are really having a tough time deciding which wallpaper to use as your background try this...

Step 1. Create a folder called "Backgrounds" in your Pictures folder

Step 2. Save all your favorite wallpapers from interface lift, in their highest resolution, to your "Backgrounds" folder.

Step 3. Go to the Desktop and Screen Saver tab System Preferences. Then go to Desktop.

Step 4. In the bottom left corner you will see a + and a - symbol. Click the + symbol, a menu pops up asking for you to choose a file or folder, then choose "Backgrounds" and hit choose.

Step 5. With "Backgrounds" selected in the left column, check the box at the bottom marked change picture. I would set it to the default which is every hour.

Step 6. Sit back and enjoy your awesome new desktop backgrounds. This is what it should look like when you are done (pictured below).

P.S. If you are wondering what screen saver to use...I have yet to find one better than the "Shell" screen saver built into Leopard. It is like acid without the side effects.

Check the sidebar for a link to the site.
